Nervous? Who ? Me?

This coming Wed Ruth and I have been invited to speak to the Midwest MWA chapter.
At first I thought "cool... sounds like fun and free food"
But now I'm thinking.... We have to talk about Crimespree for an hour.
Wow. I don't know if we even talked about it that much deciding to do it!
It should be interesting if nothing else.
Plus the people there are all very nice and freindly, so how bad can it be, right?

But it's not like a panel where you have an hour to fill but get to make other people talk!

I happen to do a lot of public speaking. (Some day, they may even PAY me for it.)

The hardest part of the speech is starting. Once you're into it, you either have the audience or you don't. At that point, it doesn't matter.

Be yourself.

And under no circumstances, picture the audience naked, unless address a porn star or stripper convention.

If you get stuck for something to say (which is unlikely, considering how great Crime Spree is), the Gideons are at hand. Simple start reading from the beginning. That should fill up the rest of the time.

I suppose if it comes down to it I could always talk about why Mullhaooland Drive is such a weird movie...

I have been watching a lot of stnad up. Maybe I could do a rant about milk...

Well, lets just agree that we both think it's interesting... :)

The evening went well. Some freindly faces were there and we filled up 50 minutes pretty easily.
And dinner was good too.
